Gordon B. Hinckley

A devout man of God who helped me learn more about myself and God and how I relate to the world has recently died. There are some who think this may be the end of him. I believe that his spirit has separated from his body and is living among the other disembodied spirits, the same man he was without his corporeal form. I believe he will return to his body one day in the future as a perfect man, perfected by the atonement of Jesus Christ.

He taught me much of acceptance, tolerance, and using persuasion over force to lead people in the right direction rather than force them there. I'm still learning how to do this with my children.

He was an awesome ambassador for my church meeting with various news folks and dignitaries from all over the world. I see more tolerance towards my acceptance of my beliefs as a result of this.

Various times hearing him speak thoughts came into my mind and peace came into my heart as specific ways to change my life were revealed to me through the Holy Ghost. He brought that with him when he spoke and I was left with hope for a better life in the near term as well as hope for a brighter future. Someday I will thank him in person. This will do for now.

Thank you Gordan B Hinckley for your service to me.
