Rain

Rain falls upon my strawberries today,
Father's Day.
Do I nurture my children
Like the growing vines?
Do I pull their weeds?
Give them adequate room to grow?
Let them have sunshine and rain?
Protect them from the frost?
Will I see them flower
and bring forth sweet berries?
Or will they be stunted and small?
