Limitations
My eyes see best in the light of a bright campfire, just after the rising and before the setting sun, in the moonlight on the snow.
They hurt in the full sun at noon-day, and sting all day when the snow is full upon the ground.
Some day I wish to see well in such light and also at night with clouds or no moon.
My eyes can't do that, so I will use them well when they see best and make them do when they must do.
And when I cannot see with the eyes in my head, sometimes I see with the eyes of my heart, the eyes of my spirit.
I wish to see you as you are and love you, but sometimes the light is too bright or too dim.
May my heart be patient as I wait to see you in your best light and remember you in it when you aren't.
