Waiting for Daylight

Waiting for Daylight

A cold sun sets over the blue scraggly hills
Winter descends upon my body and soul
I stumble numbly toward any sanctuary I can find
And wait for Albion, the sunrise.

So pains my soul the wait for thee,
The warmth and brightness of my life.
When cold storms rage darkly all around
And threaten to numb, blind and hobble me.
You bring me warmth, energy and vision.
I grow upwards in your light.
